Good morning!
I hope you’re having a nice Sunday. I, for one, am staying home from church along with the rest of my family because we’ve been having a crazy weekend and there are some things we have to get done.
I’ve now reached 31,000 words. I’m a little bit ahead, but I’d like to reach 32,000 today, 34K Monday, 36K Tuesday, 38K Wednesday, and finish my Word Count Goal by Thanksgiving.
Is that going to happen? No. School has been especially hard this year – apparently more is expected from students as they gets older (who knew? 😉 ) – and then I really ought to buckle down and practice my clarinet regularly, I’ve got to arrange times to get together with my friends and practice the songs we’re singing for the concert, and then Thanksgiving is, well, Thanksgiving. I’m assuming y’all know how crazy any holiday can be and (for our family, at least) Thanksgiving wins second place for “Most Hectic Holiday” right after Christmas.
If you’re way behind in your word count, don’t sweat it. Until the 24th you can change your word count goal. Perhaps you were going for something crazy high! Lower it … but not unless it’s absolutely necessary.
