NOTE: THE IMAGES ON THIS POST HAVE DISAPPEARED.
Today I wrote a poem to describe our weather here. π Enjoy!
Half-Spring by Kellyn Roth (2/5/16)
So many things
That remind us of springs
That have already passed
Are here.
Like robins and flowers
And half-sunny hours
And prancing of baby
Deer.
Yet the air is so crisp
The wind is so brisk
And the sky keeps on pouring down
Rain.
When will spring come?
It arrives some by some
And soon we see things arenβt the
Same.
What do you think? I’d love to have constructive criticism! π
~Kellyn Roth
p.s. I’m pretty proud of my photography, but the credit really goes to my new camera. π And yes, I realize the photos aren’t that great. But I had limited subject matter!

I love those pics! Your chickens are adorable! I love the poem!
Thanks! π My chickens are … smelly. And loud.
Haha, I bet they are!
Hm. Still need to work on rhyme and rhythm (Ruby!!), but this is better about that than some!
Well, I’m not really a poet ….
Poetic… π It could be sung and sound good, just as it would if you read it.
XD Yeah, it seems like rhyming, etc., doesn’t matter so much when you’re singing. π
It’s better then some of the rhymes on pop sings. “House” and “Loud” DO NOT RYHME. (This is wear my faint OCDness kicks in). This is why I listen to Alternative Rock.
XD
It’s great!
Sorry, not very constructive, but I do like it.

π Thank you.
Oh wow, wonderfull kell!!
Love this poem almost as much as that September one…that one was my all-time, all-time favorite;)
And your photography is allmost as good as mine! π
(just kidding) π
Love the pic of the green shoots…shooting out of the mud. Ya that’s a good one;)
π Yeah, that’s my favorite, too. It was weird that it focused that well….. like, a twist of fate or something. XD
The poem or the pic?
(heh heh, they both begin with ”p”) π
The picture. π It looks so … professional. π
I know right! Who’d you hire to take that pic for you?
(haha jk) π
The best nature photography is up close and personel, you can never go wrong with super close pics
I hired a dear friend of mine, Ruby Farjon. π (It’s an inside joke!) (That’s also an inside joke) π XD
Hahaha!!! π
She did a good job!
I know. Ruby Farjon is a very awesome person. π π
Ya she is! (not)(said the liar)
π
You just contradicted yourself, Shawn! π (and … you didn’t get that.)
no no no no no! I got it! I got it!
(yay, I got it!) π
*throws pineapple at kell*
(see? I got it!)
Yeah, ’cause you watched like two minutes of Psych that one time. (And heard me quoting it day and night)
She got it …..
Correcto mundo!
I also got a lot out the those 2 simple minutes; I found the pineapple. I figured out who the bad guy was. AND I heard him say “not. says the liar”. Yes mam! I got ALOT out of those 2 minutes!
π Well, that’s good.
Aannd I’m pretty sure you got the “*throwing pineapple*” from me. π
Nice to see us crazy people are rubbing off on you and making you even more crazy!
Yeah …. ’cause that’s a good thing …..
Of course it’s a good thing! π
I mean, where would we be if we weren’t crazy?
We’d be … sane. *shivers* Heaven forbid!
*growls*
It seriously wont let me reply to sarahs coment so I have to reply up here.
*growls again*
I know sarah I got all copy-cat on you!! π *giggles*
You. Are. My. Role. Model. When it comes to throwing pineapples lol! π
Ya I prolly became like this because of YOU, sarah! Your crazy rubbed off on me, thanks a lot! π
Haha! π
Hey, I’m rubbing off on you, too! (What about me is rubbing, I’m not sure yet, but I am!) π
You can see fresh new grass, lucky you. Still snow on the ground in the Midwest!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??? Snow is SOOOO superior to grass-and-clouds! I wish it would snow and snow and snow and snow here! π I love snow!
Even after receiving a dozen inches in day or two on top of previous snowpack? π
YES! π We don’t get much snow here. It snows about once a year ….
The Photo’s are amazing! (I love the poem by the way!)
Thank you! π π
Ooooh, I love that first photo! The poem was great too. Our weather isn’t like that here (aside from a deer that comes wandering around our house, but she’s not a baby, so not really). Here there’s snow…and more snow.
I live in the Pacific Northwest … and down here in the Cascades, the snow has melted and the rain has begun! π
Lucky! I think I live south-ish from you, and it’s just cold here. I think I’d much rather have rain than snow. I like the sound of rain…plus sometimes you get lightning storms which are awesome.
