This post will just be updating you on a lot of random (and hopefully fun) stuff as it says in the title. Be sure to like, comment, and share. Trust me, the fun is really fun. 😛 (Hint: pretty big discounts on my novels!)
Hi folks!
Guess what? I published my first story on Noble Novels! It’s a short story (not even 1,000 words) called Esther Ashton’s New Dress. I think you’ll enjoy it. Here’s a quick blurb:
Recently-orphaned Esther Ashton doesn’t expect much from Christmas with her brother away fighting in the South Pacific, her sister-in-law hospitalized with a new baby, and her job at the department store providing little to no profit. Will Esther have any sort of a Christmas or will it be another dud?
Lame blurb, I know. XD I hope you check it out and enjoy it. Don’t forget to comment and let me know what you think about Esther Ashton’s New Dress! Also, I don’t know if I’m gonna write more about Esther Ashton and her family or not. I’m still thinking about it. Your thoughts?
Through the 27th, The Dressmaker’s Secret and The Lady of the Vineyard are on sale for only $0.99 (on Amazon) to celebrate Christmas AND my having 200 (now 201) followers! These are both exciting things, so I’m also offering 50% off both of my novels in paperback on Createspace with a discount code.
Discount code for 50% off either of my novels on Createspace:

My friend Bailey and I are doing a vlog/interview! Post your questions (to ask me) in the comments, and she’ll ask them of me. And the answers will come out garbled. Because we’ll be filming this on a sleepover! But it’s gonna be fun anyway! 😀
ASK AWAY! 🙂
I don’t know if I’ve talked about what an amazing job Megan did designing my blog before or not, so I will now. I find the blog to be absolutely gorgeous! It’s definitely not changing an iota (well …) until spring comes around!
I got a Facebook page! Be sure to check it out.
Remember to spread the word about all the fun stuff mentioned here today!

Where do you get your motivation to write?
I almost answered this … then I remembered … XD
Why/when did you decide to publish? (idk if you’ve said this before. Oh well.)
I didn’t! Great question! 🙂
Sounds like a lot of exciting stuff! Ok here’s my question for you: do you plan on publishing your books by a company in the future? Or will you continue to self publish? I think it’s amazing the writerly things you’ve accomplished at your age already!
Thanks! 😀
What exciting updates! 😀 Here are some questions:
Do you ‘give’ your characters songs that define or describe them?
How many last names do you know of that your ancestors have had?
What is one name (first and last) that you know of more than one person having?(For instance, I know of two Anthony Davises: the basketball player and the bass singer for Tribute)
Do you know how to make six-sided snowflakes?
During Christmastime, is your house generally a mess, or is it all neat?
CutePolarBear
Amazing questions! I can’t wait to answer them! 🙂
YAYY!!! A Q&A VLOG. =D I’ll send my Q’s via email!
So sweet Kellyn! And I think some more bits for the Ashton story is nice- I’m curious!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thank you; that’d be great!
Hmm … I’ll see if I can’t whip something up (well, thoughtfully … I’m not gonna just throw a bunch of random sentences together) about the Ashtons next months. 🙂
Oooh! Do you know if the code works only on createspace or also on amazon? And also whether it will stack with a gift card? Because I just happen to have an amazon book gift card that I might get both of the books in paperback format with…as a Christmas present to myself! 🙂
I read the short story! It liked it! I think it was kinda rambly at first but I really loved how it turned out and how sweet it was..
I don’t know if this is too late for the questions, but here’s some anyway:
– What is the best feeling you get when writing and why?
– How long does it take you to write a first draft of a novel? How long total (including revision and publishing)?
– How do you deal with criticism?
– What advice do you give to young, aspiring writers?
Also, yes, I love the new blog design! The header is so pretty!
I’m afraid it’s only for Createspace. 🙁 Thank you! Yeah, I just rambled at first because I had no idea what I was going to write … and then I didn’t edit it … hmm. XD
Nope, not too late at all! We’re planning on doing the vlog this weekend … but I don’t know if we’ll be able to have her over. It depends more on her parents, as she’s doing school now (catch-up; they had a big move and then a trip to Hawaii, so yep, they’re behind! #homeschoolproblems).
That’s alright, haha. I still may get TLOTV at some point just because…well, that cover is so fabulous. 😛
Oh, good! Yuck, school right now…hehe, I wouldn’t want that. But good luck with the vlog and the sleepover!
Yeah, it is a great cover. 😉
Hehe, thanks. 😛
