Annnnnd it’s Day 2! *everyone celebrates* *dancing in the streets* *salsa splashes everywhere* *its a salsa party*
I … have no idea what any of that was about. So … yeah. Lots of .. salsa. I don’t even like salsa. #hatestomatoes #notaspicyperson
So, today we have a couple fun posts, an informative vlog (don’t worry; they all won’t be information-packed; there will be some funness, too), and all the other stuff. And I finally remember to mention something else that I’d intended to mention earlier. *facepalm*

And Today’s Posts Are …

-Faith Blum @ Bookish Orchestrations (author interview)
I loved answering Faith’s questions because it gave me a chance to be all professional (I don’t know why; I just felt like being professional that day) … or y’know, as professional as I can be. She asked some great questions that really made me think. 🙂

The Vlog

Today’s vlog is about The Dressmaker’s Secret – why it was removed from the market, revised, and republished.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gek-QO-A9pM&feature=youtu.be
I don’t believe I mentioned this in the video, but TDS is a completely different book. It was so fun to revise it, and I’m really glad I did, because it has improved so much. Or at least I think so. I’m a conceited author, and conceited is known to cause blindness. 😛
Also … I apologize for the wind. And the fuzziness. Call it background noise. Ignore it. Wonder why my hair isn’t also blowing around (I frankly have no idea).

p.s.

Have you read either TDS or IvIn? Do you think you ever will? (If they’re not your genre, I totally get it!) Ever read historical fiction? If so, what are your thoughts on it? If not, why? Are you feeling sleepy, wide awake, or somewhere in between right now?

I feel like my blog tour hasn’t been too amazing so far. I’m honestly doing a lackluster job at everything (+ the posts have been out super late because one of the bloggers first delayed and has now had to drop out), and I feel like I lack a certain element of creativity.

However, I’m doing my best, and I’m pretty sure that’s just me being a perfectionist. And angry that I can’t really do vlogs the way I was before because my (formerly free) video editor’s trial ran up. *glares at video editor*

And … there has been some depressing stuff going on in my life. I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting horse riding lessons like I thought I would because the instructor fell through, and my dog is dying. I just don’t feel like I can be a success at anything. (Um … yeah … that’s so melodramatic … and cliché … I hate being cliché … but I’m a cliché person … *sighs*)

What do you think of my thoughts?

  1. *hugs you* *sends chocolate your way*You’re doing an amazing job with the tour, Kellyn! I’ve enjoyed the videos, and the posts have been amazing! I’m so sorry about your dog. That’s always so sad and hard to go through. 🙁
And yes, I totally want to read both your books! I just haven’t had the time to read anything lately and it’s got me all sad . . . I need to catch up this next month!

    1. Thanks, Jesseca … I’m glad you think so! I guess it’s more of a personal standard than anything. :/ And yes, it’s tough … but God knows what’s best, and that’s what matters.
I need to catch up, too! I’m hoping to do a lot of reading in July and August. 🙂

  2. Yes I totally want to read your books! It’s 12:30 am as I’m typing this, so now I am kinda sleepy. Lol. And I still haven’t done any reading today! UGH. At least it’s summer. 😀
I’m sorry you’re having difficulties. 🙁 I think your tour is going great though! (Although this is the first one I’ve been involved in, so I wouldn’t know. :P)
And oh no your poor dog! :'( I’ve lost two dogs in my life. It hurt my mom more than it did me, but it’s still really sad. :'(

  3. Oh no, so sorry about your dog!! 😢 I think you’re doing a great job on the blog tour, honestly. And Kellyn. YOU WROTE A BOOK. AND… YOU’RE PUBLISHING IT. That’s awesome! Most girls your age have not done that. I definitely want to read both novels. I love historical fiction!
Here are my questions for the Q&A video.
What’s your favorite thing to do besides write?
    Do you like editing?
Milk chocolate, white chocolate, or dark chocolate? (because obviously this is a Very Important Question.)
    That’s all, I guess! Byyeee! 😊❤

  4. Oh my goodness, I am so sorry Kellyn! Life has been hectic lately so I haven’t had as much time to read, but I promise I’ll get my reviews up as soon as I can (hopefully before the tour ends).

  5. Awww, Kell! -huggles- Honestly, I think your blog tour is amazing! It’s so inspiring to me how motivated you are to get your work out, and I know that even if it’s not perfect, you’re continually improving, and that’s the most important thing!
I don’t know if this helps anything, but I do know how that feels when sometimes you think you’ll never succeed at anything. It’s hard, but you can do it! I try to remember that God sees us for who we can become. He has great plans for you and He will always help you. 🙂 I’ll be praying for you (and your dog).
Have you read either TDS or IvIn? Yup! I haven’t read the new TDS though, yet…
Do you think you ever will? (If they’re not your genre, I totally get it!) Yup, I shall read it eventually!
Ever read historical fiction? Yes, but mainly romance books and the occasional classics…
If so, what are your thoughts on it? I think it depends on how well it’s written. Most of the historical books I’ve read are ones I’ve been forced to read for school/are kind of depressing, and it kind of gives it a negative connotation for me. But if historical fiction can be written well, then I think it can be interesting!
Are you feeling sleepy, wide awake, or somewhere in between right now? Hmm, somewhere in between, but closer to wide awake. 🙂 What about you?
ALSO you don’t like salsa?? What a sad, sad life you have. 😛 So, how non-spicy are you? Because my favorite food is Thai curry, and if you don’t think you can handle that… well, you’ll still be my friend, but it’ll be sad. (I’ll survive, though.) What is your favorite food, out of curiosity?
Also, do you just not like tomatoes plain/as actual tomatoes, or is ketchup or tomato soup okay? Do you not have tomatoes on sandwiches and hamburgers? *is trying to imagine this*

    1. Thank you, Lana. I appreciate your kind and thoughtful words (whoa, I sound, um … cheesy … and wordy …).
I’m sleepy right now … I just want to fall in bed. But there is work to be done!
I’ve never had Thai curry, so I couldn’t tell you. XD I do like some spicier things, but not many. Like, I don’t like flaming hot cheetos (if you’ve, um, ever had those …). I do like certain hot things like gums and toothpastes that most people don’t, but that’s totally different …
I don’t like tomatoes period. Not as soups or ketchup or in sandwiches and hamburgers. *shrugs* *blows Lana’s mind* 😉

      1. Haha, that’s okay. 😉 I’m glad you enjoyed them.
Aww. Hopefully you got some sleep!
Yup, I’ve had flaming hot cheetos. They’re pretty good, maybe a little too spicy. Thai curry is a different kind of spicy, though I don’t know if you’d like that either. 😛
*mind is totally blown* How do you survive?

  6. Aww, I’m so sorry about the depressing stuff going on! Your dog will be in my thoughts. <3 <3 I'm glad your blog tour is going well though! That's something nice to look at with all the sad stuff going on. I hope you will be okay, and let us know if you ever need anything! <3

  7. Aw… I’m so sorry about the depressing things going on. I hope you feel better soon! xx <3 Also, I think your blog tour is going great so far!

What do you think of my thoughts?
