TDS and IvIn Blog Tour: Day 4

Day 4 has finally arrived, and today I’ve made some slight changes in the way this tour will be running. So, without further ado, I’ll be telling you about them. Because I don’t believe in keeping poor, innocent readers waiting.
Vlogs will be every other day instead of every day. I’m sorry, but don’t you think that would be too many vlogs otherwise? Also, all the posts would be three years late (instead of just two …)! So, there will be a post today, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (which will be a wrap-up/exciting announcements post).
The Q submissions for the Q&A post will be wrapping up next Tuesday, the 27th. Hopefully, the Q&A video will be posted on the 29th. Which … I guess is what I originally planned, now that I think about. But I needed another announcement. ‘Cause I said “announcements.” XD
Other than that, nothing has really changed. The schedule has some minor edits, but that shouldn’t cause anyone too much bother.

Today’s Posts Are …

Jordy asked me some great questions, ones that made really think like, “How did producing these stories change you as a person?” … and she added a gorgeous book spotlight (which was a nice surprise!).
And Tonya wrote two beautiful reviews. My favorite quotes are …

“I always look for characters that I feel like could be real people – Kellyn provides those characters.” ~Review of TDS
“I was blown away by Kellyn’s writing.” ~Review of IvIn

It was immensely flattering, to say the least!

Vlog

Here’s today’s vlog! The sounds a little off, and there is much giggling and hysteric laughing and rambling, but … I think you’ll like it. If you’re patient enough to listen through all 9 minutes 26 seconds. It really is sweet how Bailey is willing to this kind of thing for me all the time. 🙂
Remember, there won’t be another vlog until Sunday.

This is the part where I try to be fun and fail.

Because I’m really, really bad at being fun. Or normal. Or human. *nods*
Seriously, though, I would usually call myself a fun person, even though I don’t act fun. *shrugs* I’m just that conceited, I guess.
Now, here’s what I’m going to talk about (to try and make this post more fun).

Violet Angel of Ivy Introspective

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard me talk about Violet before or not. I know I’ve referred to her as my favorite character from IvIn in a couple interviews, but I don’t think those interviews have come out yet. So … introducing Violet Angel.
Violet is sort of like Ivy’s sidekick. Only she hates everyone and would never support Ivy in anything. So there’s that. XD
I honestly can’t give away a lot of Violet’s story in IvIn without spoilers abounding; I’ll just say that she’s a “student” at McCale House who, as Dr. McCale himself puts it, is really more a patient.
Dr. McCale calls her the only insane person there, more or less … and it seems like this is true. Violet has violent fits, suffers from extreme melancholy and depression, and generally has a dismal outlook on life.
However, there are also times when Violet is bright and happy, able to share her love of music with the world.
I (very) loosely based Violet’s mental disability on bipolar disorder. She also seems to have trouble socializing, but that could just be a personality thing.
Quite honestly, I haven’t figured out her MBTI-type. (If my beta readers/reviews have an opinion on this, go ahead and comment! I’m curious to know what you think!) I know she’s introverted, but otherwise … I don’t know.
Violet in three words: sarcastic, rebellious, and hurting.
Which … seems so, so sad. But she is really sad. And sarcastic … and snarky … honestly, I just love this girl … and she’s so impolite … *rejoices over random things*
But enough talk.

Thanks for reading, and don’t you dare move to a remote part of the Himalayas where there’s no internet connection until this blog tour is over. No matter how boring it is.

p.s.

Are you starting to get sick of the same exact post over and over again? How could I make it more exciting? I’m frankly open to any ideas at this point. I know I didn’t say a lot about Violet … but do you like the sound of her?

What do you think of my thoughts?

    1. Well, a book spotlight is basically just the covers and the summaries … pretty simplistic. I think everyone did it, to be honest … which was very kind of them! 🙂

  1. I am so excited about this blog tour! I’ll probably start writing my post today. 😊 Quick question… how long will your book be available to get in exchange of a review?

    1. I’ll probably leave the signups open a few weeks. However, I’m always looking for people to review my books, so I’ll technically always have my books available in exchange for review.

  2. OH MY GOODNESS THAT VLOG WAS GREAT 😀 I really loved it, and it was hilarious!
But then also what you wrote about Ivy was really cool, too, and deep and all of that awesome stuff. It was great as well!
And I love Violet & especially your description of her. And I love her storyline too. *goes to investigate MBTI types* Well, I only looked at two of them so far, so I dunno how accurate this is, but if she could be extroverted then maybe ENTJ? But…I don’t know if that’s quite right.
Also, did you say that Ivy is an INFP because that’s what I am, too! 😀

    1. Yes, you see, Bailey and I are “kicks.” XD Honestly, I don’t understand half the stuff we say …
Aww, thank you! I worked hard on it because I wanted to give people the right idea about Ivy, etc.
I feel like Violet is introverted, but maybe that’s just me. I don’t know about F or T … something in me says F, but I don’t know. And then … N or S … probably N? Maybe S? I feel like ISFP might be right … I don’t know. I’d have to actually look up the types …
Yes, she is! And so is May (Forever and Everly), I think. Right? And then Peter has the same personality type as Ivy … it’s a small, INFP-based world … XD

      1. Yes, and the “bee’s knees”. 😉 I loved it.
I don’t know…she probably is introverted. *can’t really remember what each letter means, so….* 😛
YAS I AM THE SAME PERSONALITY TYPE AS PETER
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW

        1. “The Cat’s Meow.” 😛
Introverted or Extroverted, Intuitive or Sensing, Feeling or Thinking, Judging or Perceiving.
YAY! I have the same personality as … none of my characters as of yet, actually …

          1. Ahhh…but what do those even mean? 😉 Are they supposed to be opposites, though? I feel like judging and perceiving aren’t really… *shrugs* Who am I to protest, though?
…sad day. I should probably figure out my characters’ personalities, but I’m not sure how. Did you read the personality types, or did you actually take the test for your characters?

              1. Haha…
Ahh, okay. I guess it’s hard to know for each of the little questions what your character would do (like have a clean or messy inbox…mine was once clean, and then I just let it disintegrate into a disorderly mess)

  3. I want to join the party sooooo much! But I still need to ask my parents if I can have an Author account on Facebook…
I have a (few) questions for your QandA:
You have been blogging for quite a while now, is there one tip of advice you would give to newbies?
Being an Author consists of allot of hard work, (statement of fact) what is the hardest thing to do?
And the very last question and sort of not relatable to anything in particular… (storytime) You have been given the chance to take ANYONE you want ANYWHERE in the world, who would you take and where?

    1. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of Facebook … but that may be just because I have no idea what to do it. And I think it’s out to get me. 😉
      Thanks for the questions! 🙂

  4. I absolutely love Violet!! When I first saw her name I thought it was Violent Angel. So when your book first introduced Mrs. Angel, I always had a tight feeling about her as if she were bad and pretending to be nice or something insane like that! XD XD

What do you think of my thoughts?
