Happy Wednesday, people reading this post (even if you’re not reading it on Wednesday)!
Yes, this is another post that’s getting out a wee bit late. Well, if you’re not in Pacific time (which most people I know online aren’t for whatever reason). Here, it’s not that late. (Or at least I don’t think so; any time before eleven is early morning to me …)
We’re halfway through the months of November … but I haven’t reached halfway with my novel.
Nope, I’m not behind (I actually have 28,631 – haven’t written yet today, though), but I don’t feel that I’ve reached the midpoint of my novel. I … guess it’s gonna be a bit longer? No problem there. 🙂
I’m frankly not sure where the midpoint of my story is, looking at my outline! In fact, I feel that story structure was, in some ways, abandoned in the outline of Beyond Her Calling.
However, never fear – revisions and editing exist for a reason, and I’m sure it will turn out perfectly all right. I’m sure enjoying writing it!
Now, onto other stuff …
Some {Bad} News
I’ve mentioned several times that my dog, Gidget, had diabetes, and we would have to put her down sometime soon.
Well … that time came last Thursday.
So, yes, my beautiful girl Gidget is gone now, but I’m glad she didn’t have to suffer anymore. She’d gone completely blind and gotten very skinny. Plus that, a lot of her behavior was odd and erratic … it was clear she oftentimes didn’t know what she was doing.
But … I will miss her very much. She was the best dog we’ve ever owned, and I loved her. She was my best friend.
(And … let’s move on before I make you cry … ’cause she was so beautiful … *sigh*)
Let’s Make Truth-or-Truth More Complicated
Because my friends and I are lazy, we took to playing our own version of the popular, juvenile game “Truth-or-Dare.” We call it “Truth-or-Truth.” It is exactly what it sounds like. “Truth-or-Dare” without any dares. 😛
It was a lot of fun, but … the problem is, we could never think of good questions! I wrote down a list, and one night, Bay and I were having a sleepover, and we started asking them of each other.
And … because it was late – and we know each other fairly well – we started asking the questions and then basically answering them for each other.
So, in summary, we made up this complicated game where we asked questions about ourselves and expected each other to know the answer (which, oddly enough, we oftentimes did).
However, since we’d already discussed quite a few of the questions, and also they were boring questions (or mostly), it was fairly easy for us to answer them and even that got boring.
Later, I started thinking this would be an entertaining subject for a vlog.
That’s right, you heard me! Another Q&A vlog is coming your way! Only this time, you’ll be asking me questions about Bay and Bay questions about me.
Make sense?
If not, go ahead and comment, and I can clarify. If so, follow these links to submit your questions!

A Few FAQ
Well, actually, they’re not exactly “frequently asked questions” because no one’s ever asked me questions about this because I’ve never mentioned it before, but whatever.
What kind of questions are you looking for?
Basically, if it’s a question, we’ll accept it. We’re looking for questions of all types, from “What’s your favorite color?” to “What’s one embarrassing moment that has scarred you for life?”
However, please keep your questions squeaky clean, and let’s not go towards anything too incredibly personal. I mean, we are going to share this on the internet! We don’t want to give away addresses or specifics about locations/our personal lives or even deepest darkest secrets (because, hey, it is public!).
How long will the forms be open?
Next Wednesday the 22nd will be the last day, so plenty of time.
Also, if you don’t have time/want to, no problem! We’ll come up with some questions ourselves as well just in case no one has any ideas. I just thought it’d be fun to include y’all!
When will the vlogs be coming out?
Probably within the next two weeks, but it may stretch on into December. We both have jobs and school and don’t see each other more than a couple times a month, quite honestly, and then filming/editing/uploading a vlog takes a lot of time.
Will you use all the questions?
Depends on how many we get. And we will try to make the questions for Kell vs. the questions for Bay about equal – either by adding or taking away questions (again depending on how many we get).
This is gonna be fun!
Until next week,
~Kellyn Roth~

How’s your November going? NaNoWriMo or No NanoWrimo? (say that five times fast) Did you ever have a dog (or other pet) that was very special to you? Did you ask a question or two or three or ten? What are your thoughts on trees?

Aww. So sorry about your dog! 🙁
Ooh! More vlogs! *squeals and bolts towards youtube* *realizes they are not coming out until next week or something* *cries*
A friend of mine already finished his book! He’s at like 58k or something!
*cheers* *tries to get story done as fast as I can* 😉
Glad you are having fun with NaNo! Don’t worry. I ditched some ideas for my story too. 🙂
WOW. He’s already finished? Incredible! 😀 I can’t imagine being done that fast … but a lot of people seem to write so quickly!
Yep, I tend to get rid of some ideas as I go, too …
I know! He still has to edit and stuff but he’s done! Yes!
Yeah………But I’m super glad I have a plot, otherwise, it would go on forever and never end. *glances at pile of unfinished books that are 35k words long* *hides them under blanket*
😀
I have a lot of half-finished books, too … but thankfully I have an outline for this one and am hoping I’ll actually finish it. I’ve figured out that I need a pretty scene-by-scene outline or it just never gets finished. xD
Yeah………
Oh good! Haha! Yes! I just plotted it out by chapter(which failed BTW)……………..
Well, my outline is a bit vague on some points, I admit. And then I’ve noticed a couple scenes that are just kind of random and don’t make sense in the plot. xD
Yeah. I have those a lot.
Aww nooo😔 So sorry to hear about your poor dog. Hope you’re ok 💕
Yes, thank you … I feel much better now, and I knew it was going to happen for a long time, so I had time to prepare.
Yeah, that’s true. I’m happy you’re feeling better though 🙂xx
Hey, just wanted to let you know I sent you an email regarding the design. Have a wonderful day!
When you say “too personal”, social security number and home address don’t count, do they?
Good job on NaNo! I need to binge-read your series soon. Your writing is so beautiful and peaceful, if that makes sense – it’s very calming to read. 🙂
Aww, I’m so sorry about Gidget. She looks like she was a beautiful dog.
No, of course, we’ll do that! 😉 I think Bailey actually knows my social security number … well, anyway, I told her because I memorized it. I’m sure she’s forgotten though. 😛
Awwww, thank you, Josie! That’s so sweet! <3
Yes, she was. Thank you.
Good job on your word count!! Sounds like NaNoWriMo is going well for you. I hope you find your midpoint! And I’m sorry about your dog…that’s hard.
Thank you! Yes, it’s going fairly well.
Yes, I miss her, but it was for the best in the end.
