Hey young writer! Don’t miss out on this!
I’m Kellyn Roth, and I offer a monthly mentorship package for young writers, whether you’re navigating plot twists, learning the ropes of indie publishing, or mastering marketing strategy.
The Ongoing Mentorship Package is available for $90 per month.
However, if you commit to a 3-month period, you’ll receive a $25 discount on the total amount (about $82/month).
With personalized guidance, encouragement, and feedback, you will make twice the progress you would alone. Don’t miss this opportunity to advance your author career or improve your craft!
Here’s why I’m the perfect mentor for you …
I’m a current employed with the Author Conservatory as a student success advisor, administrative assistant, and anthology publication manager. So my day job involves coaching dozens of young writers on their writing careers!
In the past, I’ve worked with the Young Writers Lessons, Growing Writers, and Reveries Co. as a writing coach. I’ve worked with more than 30 young writers one-on-one, and I am able to provide testimonials upon request!
I’ve been in administrative positions with the Young Writers Workshop and worked for The Wilting Rose Project, The Rebelution, and Reckless Abandon Ministries.
I’ve received intense training in everything from plot structure and prose to email and social media marketing, making professional connections, and business by the Author Conservatory; I was one of their first graduates.
In terms of writing accomplishments:
If you relate to any of the following statements, you are probably a good fit for ongoing mentorship!
That’s okay! I’m going to meet you where you’re at. I’ve worked with students of all ages and skill levels. I especially loved my time working with younger students in high school, middle school, or even younger.
As long as your parent/guardian is involved in the process, I’m happy to work with you. If you’re a minor, all our calls will be recorded and shared with your parent/guardian for your safety.
Each session is tailored to your needs and you can ask as many questions as you like.
All my Ongoing Mentorship writers are offered a free 15-minutre call to discuss where they’re at and see if we can work well in a mentor-mentee relationship.
This will be an opportunity for you to pick my brain, but also for me to ask questions to help establish where you need the most assistance … and if we’d be a good fit!
There are TONS of people who make a full time living from writing. The notion of a starving artist is widespread and more inaccurate than you think.
Yes, there are some people out there who struggle with a creative career.
However, with a mentor, a guide, a personal cheerleader, you have a much better position to truly succeed.
Even if creative writing doesn’t become your full time career, building that storytelling skill is so valuable in any industry. If you’re a high school or college student, these skills can also help you in school. Employers are always looking for people with strong communication skills and the ability to think outside the box and capture people’s attention.
Not only will you be improving your writing, but you’ll also be learning other skills such as time management, the ability to complete projects, and working when motivation is low. These skills apply to any industry!
For two one-on-one calls a month, feedback on your writing, encourage & cheerleading, and access via email throughout the month, you will probably not find a better price for mentorship!
There are a lot of expensive writing coaches and programs, and they have their place. However, it is my intention to offer an affordable option for writers on a tight budget.
Yes! I will be willing to offer a monthly 1,000-word critique to evaluate your prose and provide feedback to help you know where to focus your efforts. This should provide you a great opportunity to learn and grow!
Note: for younger writers (15 and under), I will provide more feedback on their writing if requested and would also be willing to review schoolwork as a part of the mentorship package.
Unless something changes, I hope to offer these sessions for at least a few years. However, you will have the option to opt out every month! There’s no pressure to renew, and we’ll do this for as long as you feel comfortable doing it.
That said, I see the most results with young writers who are able to commit to 3-4 months of intensive learning and growth!
If you’re interested in a one-time Strategy Session, here’s the link for that!
Here are a few of my favorite testimonials!
Kellyn is very sweet and lovely in her teaching methods but is also honest when critiquing and giving constructive criticism. She is able to spot areas in which you may be weaker, giving you advice on how to fix them, and encourages you in your stronger areas.
In her effort to teach you in the way that works best for your writing specifically, she often a checks that her instructions and feedback are helpful to you.
She personalises her teaching for you as an individual, working on the areas you need the most help in and is friendly as a person. She feels more like a friend giving advice than a teacher (although she is that too) and is easy to get along with.

I can vouch for Kellyn Roth as a consistent and professional entrepreneur who puts her all into her students, writing, businesses, and blog. She’s always helpful and kind as a coach and as an author, and I’ve rarely seen her back down from anything that really needed doing.
Besides being a dear friend, Kell has also helped me perfect various essays and papers. She taught me oodles about grammar, punctuation, and how to turn a phrase so it doesn’t sound awful!
I know Kell loves teaching writing and helping young writers and authors of all types succeed. That passion is what makes her such a great teacher! She wants you to not just write but write well. I would definitely recommend her as a writing coach or critiquer.

Kellyn is experienced and was very encouraging to me. When she pointed out the things in my story that needed improvement, she did it in a way that was encouraging and assured me of my goal. Working with Kellyn was an awesome experience.

In my journey of both educating and training my kids for life, I have found in Coach Kell an outstanding and reliable partner. Young, energetic, and full of passion for writing, Kell proved herself, also, down to earth, detailed oriented, asker of good questions, and a superb listener.
When I explained to her my goals as a parent and my concerns for each of my two daughters who were taking the class, I noticed her interest in understanding where we were and where we wanted to get. And then, she started to work. She asked relevant questions.
She adjusted to each of the girls’ different personalities, capabilities and levels of maturity. “Firm and sweet”, as one of them described her, she invested time in discussing content details, clarifying language use, and fostering the development of the student’s individual style. To my surprise and for the first time in our learning journey, my daughters were enthusiastic about returning to their stories and finding better words or more effective, clearer ways to communicate their thoughts. They learned to prioritize ideas and to organize them into a cohesive and meaningful story.
As I see it, developing an inner desire to sharpen your skills is not only necessary in writing, but it is also crucial in navigating life in our society, in this new generation. This is what Kell inspired in my girls and that is why I continue to value her partnership.
