NaNoWriMo 2016: Wrap-Up

by Kellyn Roth |
December 1, 2016

At Her Fingertips is officially finished at 66,172 words.

Winner

Yesterday I wrote 8,611 which brought me to 65,978 words. I wrote the rest this morning. I’m pretty proud of myself. Last NaNo, I wrote 40,000-some words; the NaNo before that, it was 36,000. Both times, I barely made that.

This year, however, it was easy for me to make my goal of 50,000 and surpass it, as you know, by more than 15,000 words!

Here are my final stats:

Now what am I gonna do?

  1. Search the freezer for icecream. Eat it if I find it. Mourn if I don’t.
  2. Watch Gilmore Girls. The old ones, of course. The new one … don’t get me started.
  3. Not do anything. I deserve it. 😉

Quote-of-the-Update

“Darling, with you, the glass is always a quarter empty instead of three quarters full.” ~Cassie O’Connell, At Her Fingertips

Now, a couple non-NaNo-related things:

  • I re-designed Reveries for the Christmas season and I played around with the pages a bit. Thoughts? Anything that needs improving? Anything you really like?
  • Then … I designed a website. Even more thoughts?!?!
  • I JUST HAD BUTTERFINGER ICECREAM OHMYGOSH IT’S SOOO GOOD!!!

  1. WHOOOO! CONGRATS! FOR LIKE … THE THIRD TIME! BUT YOU DESERVE LOTS OF CONGRATULATIONS!
I … am slightly jealous of your word count. 😉 😛
Ooh! Not sure if I said this before, but I <3 the new theme on here (Oh … my goodness … did I just make a heart sign? Wow … I disgust myself … not really … hahaha… I'm kind of crazy right now) It's so … silvery and all pretty and gorgeous XD

  2. BUTTERFINGERS ICE CREAM?! CAN I HAVE SOME! Wow, kudos to you, that’s fantastic. Your book totally looks like something I would read. I know what I’m gonna be buying. 😉 And your website looks fantastic! I love it!

  3. That is so awesome, Kellyn! *celebrates* *with cupcakes, obviously* *and ice-cream* (I’m currently planning to celebrate surviving my first semester of college with ice-cream. You know, assuming I actually survive finals next week.)
Also, I really love the theme. It’s so prettyyyy.
