Tears into Thy Bottle is LAUNCHED!

Hello folks!

About a week ago now, Tears into Thy Bottle launched! This being my seventh book in The Chronicles of Alice & Ivy, it honestly feels surreal. I’ve been working on this series for a long time, and honestly, it started feeling like I would never finish this one. 😉 With only three more books left to write and publish in this series (two about Ivy, one about Alice), it really feels like I’m wrapping things up … and giving my characters a well-deserved happy ending, too!

Alice goes through a lot in this book, as does Peter, some of which I relate to deeply, some of which reflects the journeys of friends and loved ones, some of which is from my own imagination. All of it is written to the best of my abilities to glorify God and show His light and love through these characters.

My characters are, as always, messy. Alice struggles with thoughts and feelings that may feel foreign to the modern reader. (Simply put, Alice is not immediately enthusiastic about adoption in the way we generally are as modern audiences – ironically, for much the same reason anti-adoption people today are against adoption, more so than the Victorian stigma reasons.) I hope I did a good job portraying the nuances here, and I certainly did my fair share of research, but any mistakes I made were my own.

And yes, some of this was just setup for the greater happily-ever-after to come, but you can’t blame me for that, can you? When they’ve gone through so much? 😛 I thought not!

Regardless, thank you to everyone who’s been excited about this series over the years! So excited to dig into books 8, 9, and 10!
